Sailing yachts have always been a force of nature. Originally powered by sun, wind, waves, and fearless sailors — not petrochemicals — Zero returns to those forces, coming full circle.

Fully powered by renewable energy sources, she can remain at sea for weeks easily traveling the world while leaving no trace on nature.

The vast team behind Zero has both created and utilised leading technologies in constantly pushing the envelope. Early on it was determined that a new energy scorecard was needed to balance consumption and production more efficiently.

From custom designed hydro-generation pods, innovative marine batteries and photovoltaic-thermal panels, to energy management systems and open-source software solutions, Zero is both a sailing yacht and an ongoing development platform.

Here, these technologies will be stress-tested in the sea, one of the world’s most adverse environments, ensuring that they may eventually benefit others on both land and sea.

As an award-winning boutique builder, Vitters Shipyard is responsible for the construction of Zero and has also contributed to the development of many of Zero’s systems and renewable technologies.
